THK was established in 1971 in Tokyo, Japan under the first name Tho Seiko Co., LTD. The “THK” stands for “Toughness”, High Quality”, and “Know-how”. The mission statement of THK has helped contribute to the development and improvement of society and industry by focusing on a high standard of technology and development and the product manufacturing processes.  In 1981 THK began expanding internationally and opened THK America Inc. to now reach a more global audience. Demand continued for their high quality products and forced THK to begin manufacturing plants in Europe and America by early 2000.

A ball screw is a mechanical device that translates rotational motion into linear motion. The ball thread shaft is the screw and the ball assembly acts as the nut. Ball screws are used in aircraft and missiles to move control surfaces, automobiles power steering, machine tools, robots, and precision assembly industrial equipment. This Rolled Ball Screw feed achieves a DN value of 100,000 by using a new circulation structure. Since the nut outer diameter and the mounting holes of this model are dimensionally interchangeable with the previous model BTK, model BTK can be replaced with this model.
